The Living Authentically Method of Artistry, is an groundbreaking training experience for the 21st century artist, applying performative practices that encourage creatives to develop their authentic voice. The LAMOA technique is rooted in emotional balance, personal advocacy, and curating safe space for creatives to exist as their authentic selves in the world of performing arts.

LAMOA encourages artists to develop a clear intention for their craft, learn how to deep dive into work with a new perspective, and employ exciting methods to connect fully to themselves as a performer. LAMOA sessions are structured like an acting studio, but are for all creatives. Students leave with a greater knowledge of their purpose; ways to deepen their purpose in their chosen medium; and a new methodology to incorporate into their daily personal practice. Overall, this transformative method deepens their connection to their work.

We Create!

In this devising theatre residency, Jade guides students through developing their own fully realized theatrical work. The workshop includes techniques for conception, development, drafting, editing, and producing original work.The Devising Theatre residencies are separated into two categories:

SOLO ACTS!

Students create a one-person show with all of the elements of a fully realized production. (10-12 Sessions)

WE CREATE!

Students develop an original performance based on an unified theme or premise. Students use multimedia elements to tell a contemporary and engaging story. (17-22 sessions)

For those interested in incorporating more inclusive practices into your learning experience.

For these sessions I partner with like-minded arts advocates to facilitate healthy discussion around creating safe space for arts equity. Our goal in these trainings is to dialogue around methods to create a culturally inclusive arts classroom. The session begin with participants taking an honest look at where our preferences and biases live within our personal experience and how it influences our teaching methodology. We will use this knowledge to examine racial and intersectional representation in our curricula, discuss our role as arts educators in the current socio-political landscape, and share best practices for fostering equitable spaces for our students in all performing and visual arts mediums.
